Congratulations on your engagement! While this is a very exciting time in your life, planing a wedding can also prove to be a stressful time too. Come to the Thanksgiving Point Wedding Expo to learn about every aspect of your wedding. You’ll have the opportunity to talk to wedding industry leaders, figure out exactly what you want for your special day, win great prizes, and have lots of fun!

Here are some tips for you before you come to the show:

  • * Bring the groom.
  • * Bring your family & friends. They will enjoy themselves too. (Tickets are $5 per person and will be available at the South end of the Show Barn the day of the expo).
  • * Print out and bring self addressed mailing labels to quickly sign up for vendor information and giveaways.
  • * Preregister now or come a little early to register at the show. This will get you in for free and help you avoid long lines.
  • * Bring your checkbook so when you find exactly what you want, you can make a deposit to secure your date.
  • * Ask anyone and everyone questions! This event is all about what we can do for you!
  • * Dress comfortably and get ready to have fun while finding out everything you need to know for your wedding!

Bridal Salon

Who said planning a wedding had to be stressful? Come pamper yourself with a free up-do by the Mountainland Applied Technology College, located on the South top tier of the Show Barn.

Alterations Workshop

On the half hour: 10:30 - 4:30pm
Dee Dee Anderson will be hosting an ongoing workshop throughout the whole day on the North top tier of the Show Barn. Come find out what you -eed to know when it comes to fitting your dress to fit you like a glove.

Wedding March Contest

When you hear the “Wedding March” tune, report to the stage to test your pie-eating, hula hooping, and bubble gum blowing skills for a chance to win one of our many hourly prizes, courtesy of all participating vendors.

Grooms Contest

12 pm & 5 pm
When you hear the “Wedding March” tune, report to the stage to test your skills by making a Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head for a chance to win a free tungsten wedding band and NFL jersey, courtesy of Wedding Rings Forever.

Mother of the Bride Contest

5:30 pm
When you hear the “Wedding March” tune, report to the stage to test your skills in a cake eating contest for a chance to win a $500 gift certificate to “Le Chateau” Reception Center courtesy of Utah Celebrations Catering.

Grand Prize Giveaway

5:45 pm
One lucky couple will get the chance to win an incredible prize at the end of the night. Fill out the Entry Form with all the vendor initials for a chance to win a spot in theGrand Prize Giveaway Contest. Turn in completed entry forms at the Laughing Gravy booth, north of the stage.

Grand prize includes:

* $500 gift certificate to Utah Celebrations Catering, courtesy of Utah Celebrations Catering,
* $1,000 credit which includes 1 Pre-Wedding Event (engagements or bridals), 1 Wedding Event (temple/traditional ceremony coverage or reception) and a free Mid-Resolution Disc, courtesy of Abby Alger Photography,
