Photography Policy

Thanksgiving Point Photography Agreement

Thanksgiving Point Institute requires a sitting fee for all portraiture (professional and non-professional) taken at Thanksgiving Point
whether in the Water Tower Plaza Reception Areas or Thanksgiving Point Gardens. This includes all posed photography taken on property. Please
check availability of the Water Tower Plaza Reception Areas and Thanksgiving Point Gardens, as all areas may not be available due to private
events.

Photographers and guests must check in at the front desk of the Water Tower Plaza Information Center and Thanksgiving Point Garden Visitor
Center to sign the photo policy contract and obtain a pass prior to the photography session. Passes must be worn by the photographer at
all times during sessions. Those without a photo pass will be asked to return and check in or leave the property.

Those who wish to take portraits at Thanksgiving Point Institute must follow certain policies and procedures:
• One photography pass required for each session.
• There are changing rooms that may be used if they are available. If not, restrooms may be used.
• Personal belongings may not be left in either the changing rooms or the restrooms during the photo shoot. Lockers are
available on a first come first serve basis at the Water Tower Plaza Information Center. A photo ID must be left in exchange for locker
usage.
• Be aware that the Staff may be working in the Water Tower Plaza Reception Areas or Thanksgiving Point Gardens at any time. Please do
not interrupt their work by asking them to move.
• Do not move tables, chairs or other equipment that are set up for private events.
• Access to pathways, garden areas, hallways, stairways and rooms may not be blocked.
• Plant labels or other signs may not be removed or disturbed.
• Do not litter. Either carry out all your trash or find a trashcan.
• Photos will not be allowed during a wedding, reception or other private events.
• Do not pick any flowers. Please leave them for others to enjoy.
• Do not enter the garden beds. Walking in the flowerbeds severely damages our plant collection by compacting the soil and
injuring the plant material
• The sitting fee will apply whether or not the photographer or any of the participants are Thanksgiving Point members.
• Thanksgiving Point Institute assumes no liability for loss, theft or damage to equipment.
• There are no refunds or discounts for photography pass.
• Guests are responsible for damages done to property.
• Violation of any of the above policies will result in the photographer and guest being asked to leave the property. No refund
will be given.

Hours of Operation
If you will be coming before the hours of operation you will be required to obtain a photo pass in advance. Please call Visitor
Information for hours.

Water Tower Plaza Reception Areas
• The sitting fee is $75.00 (Includes Still Portraiture and Videography-provided it is for one bride, family or individual.)

Thanksgiving Point Gardens
• The sitting fee is $100.00 (Includes Still Portraiture and/or Videography-provided it is for one bride, family or individual during
the same session). This includes three people. Additional participants must pay the regular Thanksgiving Point Garden
admission fee of $10.00 per adult.
• Golf carts are not included in the sitting fee.
• Photographers may continue a photo shoot after hours, but need to be notified that the building will be locked and exit out of
the east gate.

Combination Pass
• A combination pass for both the Water Tower Plaza Reception Areas and Thanksgiving Point Gardens is available for $150.00.
