New Lease Agreement Makes For First Megaplex Theatre in Utah County

THANKSGIVING POINT – Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatres is set to become the newest tenant at Thanksgiving Point as part of a new lease agreement between the two companies wherein Miller will occupy the existing Stadium 8 Theater, which will be re-named Megaplex 8, effective immediately.

“This opportunity makes good sense for us,” said Larry H. Miller, owner of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. “All of our entertainment endeavors are designed to provide an uncommon experience for our guests and clients. Thanksgiving Point strives to achieve a similar mission; so it’s fitting for us to be there.”

Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatres will replace San Francisco-based LCA Enterprises, LLC, as the operator of the 27,000-square-foot cinema. The move marks the first foray into Utah County for Miller’s entertainment division.

Although some renovation to the existing building is planned, the transition from LCA to Megaplex will be seamless from an operational standpoint. “We will be upgrading equipment and some of the interior to help ensure a pleasant experience that the community has come to expect from both organizations” said Washburn. “Fortunately, we can accomplish this without a schedule interruption and our guests will immediately recognize the level of service that Megaplex brings to its operations.”
