Full Time Positions
FT/ Director of Programming:
Responsibilities: To foster a dynamic, interactive learning environment throughout Thanksgiving Point that maintains both high standards of education quality and high visitor ship. The Director of Programming is responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of programming, education and public events for Thanksgiving Point Institute, including, but not limited to, developing and managing a comprehensive, integrated programming plan, developing and managing annual budgets for the department including education and public events, assisting CEO, other Directors and Utah State University Extension liaison employees in identifying and actively pursuing and managing programming opportunities.
Requirements: Masters or Bachelors Degree from accredited college or university. Knowledge of education programming and public event planning. Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills. Strong organization and prioritization skills. Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects under pressure and time constraints. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Shifts: This is a full time salaried position that includes a benefit package. General schedule will be M-F 8:00am.-5:00pm. Applicant must have a flexible schedule to accommodate early morning, late evening, and weekend assignments as required.
FT/ Web / Retail Designer:
Responsibilities: Under general supervision, will plan, design, develop, coordinate and produce electronic communications on the Thanksgiving Point website and email blast including updates of time sensitive material. Develop and produce on-site marketing materials for the retail group. Assist in establishing and maintaining professional graphic and identify standards for Thanksgiving Point. Develop and produce assorted collateral including price tags, in-store signage, forms, and other items. May perform related work as required by CMO and Director of Communications.
Requirements: Must have exceptional communications skills including spelling, grammar and punctuation. Understanding of basic interface design and familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Products. Ability to work with a range of people as a team player sharing ideas and volunteering for projects. Must have excellent proof-reading skills, computer skills, and be able to muti-task.
Shifts: This is a full time position that includes a benefit package. 40 hours / week. Monday Saturday
FT/ Catering Set-Up Manager:
Responsibilities: Overseeing all aspects of private event set-up including but not limited to set-up (tables, chairs, centerpieces, signs etc.) and tear down of rooms, inventory of company assets, and upkeep of Thanksgiving Point facilities in relation to events. Responsible for hiring, scheduling, and training of set-up staff. Will interact with multiple departments on property, insure rooms are set to standards at all times, oversee proper care and storage of all equipment and supplies, and take responsibility for catering vehicles (cleaning, maintenance, and licensing.) Other duties as assigned by Food and Beverage Director.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years managerial experience, preferably in banquet or fine dining. Must be physically fit as this is a physically demanding position. Will frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100lbs. Basic accounting skills and a good driving record are also needed.
Shifts: This is a full time position that includes a benefit package. Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate days, nights, and weekends as they are event driven.
