Museum Mondays are full of creative dinosaur-related activities perfect for a night out with the family.

April 23 Annual Dino Dash!

Our Dinosaurs heard about the Thanksgiving Point Half Marathon, 5K, and Kids Fun Run on April 28th and wanted in on all the racing fun. Join our Ready to Race Dinos for a night of speed, skill, and timed races as they host the Dino Dash. Find out who is ready for the race and who is not in the scavenger hunt "Tick Tock Can YOU Beat the Clock?" Footprint Frenzy will show you the differences between your run and the run of some of our dinosaurs. Play Pop! Before the Clock Stops and design a dinosaur medal to take home.

April 30 Dino Wars-When Horns and Plates Collide!

Stegosaurus and Triceratops were both Herbivores and both lived in different time periods so they never had the chance to butt heads. But, if there had been a fight which one of these large plant eaters would have won? Would plates or horns have been the best form of defense? Become a Dino Detective for the evening to find out about both Stegosaurus' and Triceratops' size, speed and agility, weapons, defense, and attack style. After you've seen the evidence YOU decide who would have been the winner!

May 7 Tea for Two?

Little dinosaurs in the museum have planned a surprise Mothers Day Tea Party for their mothers. Follow the invitations to find out who is invited and what they are bringing to the party. See if your decorated dinosaur egg can make it to the bottom of the egg tunnel, play “Teacup Kerplunk”, and make a necklace to take home to your mother.

May 14 Hungry Hungry Herbivores

The Museum Paleontologist brought fresh plants to the museum and overnight they have disappeared. See who snuck a snack by following the leafy remains. Spot the “Hidden Hunters” in the underbrush, try your hand at “Herbs Rumbly Tummy,” and make an herbivore dinosaur puppet of your own.

May 21 Dino Detectives

The Director of the Museum is very upset. His favorite hat was lost for a day and when it was found there were large teeth marks in it. One of our dinosaurs must have been extra hungry and tried to eat it the “Hat for a Snack!” There are 5 suspects with the perfect size teeth that could have caused the damage but each of them has a reason why they didn’t do it. Explore the exhibits as a Dino Detective and decode secret messages, try experiments, and learn about the 5 suspicious suspects. Can you help the Director figure out which one of his dinosaur friends tried to eat his hat?

May 28The Terrible Truth about T-Rex!

The museum’s dinosaurs are tired of hearing T-Rex brag about being the King of the Dinosaurs. They want everyone to know the real truth about Rex. Explore the museum to find T-Rex truths Rex would rather keep hidden away. Play “Pick up Tricks” with your T-Rex arms, test your sense of smell at “Does Your Nose Know”, and make a T-Rex to take home.

June 4 Shark Attack

Phil the Shark wants to start summer vacation by visiting his shark buddies at the Museum. On his way to our shark exhibit he causes quite the frenzy….Our fish are frantic! Spend the night “Tail Tracking Phil” through the museum to see what trouble he is causing our poor fish. “Feed Phil’s Friends,” play “Delicious Fishes” and make a biting shark to take home!

June 11 Goin Fishin!

Edmontosaurus Jr. is taking his Dad fishing for Father’s Day but can’t seem to find a good fishing spot. Explore the museums ponds to see if you can help Ed Jr. find the perfect fishing hole for his Dad’s Day Out. Do some fishing of your own at our fish pond, see the world through a “Fish’s Eyes” and make a Father’s Day Craft for your Dad.
